9-Day Southern Morocco Discovery from Casablanca

Arrive at Casablanca, Morocco's contemporary metropolis. Depending on your arrival time, explore the magnificent Hassan II Mosque and have a leisurely stroll along the Corniche before checking into your hotel.

After breakfast, head south to Marrakesh. In the afternoon, start exploring the Red City's highlights, including the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jemaa el-Fna plaza, which is filled with storytellers and local cuisine. Overnight in Marrakech.

Cross the beautiful High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Before visiting the famed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient architecture and movie sets, take in the panoramic views. Proceed to Ouarzazate for the night.

Drive through palm-filled oases and beautiful scenery of the Draa Valley, stopping to discover the old kasbah at Tamnougalt and immerse yourself in Berber culture in small desert settlements.

Continue south toward Zagora, renowned as the "Gateway to the Sahara," before venturing deeper into the desert via M'Hamid El Ghizlane, where the paved road stops and the huge dunes of Erg Chigaga begin. Ride a camel across the golden sands and watch the sunset paint the horizon, followed by dinner and a peaceful night under the stars at a luxury desert camp.

After breakfast, go off-road through the dry Lake Iriqui to Foum Zguid. Continue through colorful scenery and Berber communities such as Taznakht, which is noted for its handmade carpets, before arriving in Taroudant, often known as "Little Marrakech." Overnight stay at a lovely riad.

Drive to the seaside city of Agadir for a brief stop before continuing north to Essaouira, a lovely port city with whitewashed walls and blue shutters. Enjoy excellent seafood and a peaceful evening by the Atlantic Ocean.

Spend a relaxed free day in Essaouira, a lovely coastal town noted for its whitewashed medina and thriving arts community. Stroll through the narrow alleyways dotted with galleries and local workshops, explore the medieval walls overlooking the Atlantic, or simply relax on the beach. Essaouira's laid-back attitude, sea air, and fresh seafood make it the ideal place to relax and take in Morocco's coastal charm.

After breakfast. Then, return to Marrakech. Spend your free time shopping or relaxing on a rooftop café with a view of the old city. Overnight in Marrakech.

After breakfast, transfer to Marrakech or Casablanca airport for your return flight or onward journey. End of tour.
